Peer Review Process

The Journal of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University ensures that the editor, editorial board members, and reviewers strictly adhere to the principles of scientific and publishing ethical codes, as detailed in the section: Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

The review process for submitted manuscripts is conducted as a "double-blind review" - the reviewer does not know the identity of the author, and vice versa. The names of the reviewers for specific articles submitted for editorial consideration are not disclosed. Before manuscripts are submitted for review, all information that could identify the authors is removed.

In the case of a negative review, the article may be returned to the author for revision or rejected.

If the submitted article successfully passes the plagiarism check, it is sent to the responsible editor of the Economics or Pedagogy series. The article is then checked according to the following main criteria:

  • The relevance of the article's topic to the aims and scope of the journal;
  • The necessary stylistic and linguistic level;
  • The correctness of formatting according to the journal's requirements (more details: Author Guidelines).

The responsible editor has the right to reject articles that do not meet the above criteria.

Based on a positive review by the editor, the article proceeds to the expert evaluation process. In the expert evaluation process, at least two independent reviewers assess the quality of the submitted article and make a recommendation regarding the subsequent procedure. Reviewers fill out standard review forms, namely: the review form.

 The review process for an article takes up to two months (the first response is usually no later than 20 days after the article is received by the editorial office).
