THE ROLE OF UNESCO IN THE FORMATION OF THE MODERN CONCEPT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF THE YOUNG GENERATION OF THE XXI CENTURY

The article analyzes the role of UNESCO in shaping the modern concept of a healthy young generation. The authors identified that the problems of the level of teaching physical education and sports in educational institutions, determining the importance of public activities, including children and youth, physical activity and sports, monitoring the quality of educational services in educational institutions and prospects for solving problems in the world are systematically addressed by UNESCO. It is the coordination of the development of physical education and sports for the progress of mankind that has become the goal of the International Charter of Physical Education and Sports, which proclaims the right of every person to access physical education and sports necessary for personal development. Both public authorities and non-governmental organizations should be interested in the development of physical culture and sports, which is implemented in the adoption of relevant regulations, provision of material support, as well as the use of other means of encouragement and incentives, in accordance with the provisions of the charter. It is concluded that the main documents of the organization are a survey on qualitative and quantitative indicators of educational services in the field of physical education and sports, identifying problems and ways to solve them, including the establishment of thematic projects.
