Abstract

In the article the theoretical analysis of the essence of the concepts of "values", "value orientations" as an interdisciplinary phenomenon in various scientific aspects of philosophy, sociology, psychology, and pedagogy is carried out. It is elucidated That values and value orientations as a historical phenomenon are determined by the interest of the era, affect the cognition and evaluation of phenomena, determine the the norms of relations between people, the structure of social life.
