DESIGN study.
The study was conducted on 129 social workers working at the Offices of Labour, Social Affairs and Family in the Pre?ov region.
In order to process the acquired data, we used the non-parametric statistical method Chi-square and the hypothesis testing Kolmogorov-Smirnovov test, as well as the test of the ability to handle stress created by Herrison M. Black and Pavel Jansa, and the questionnaire created by Christina Maslach and Susan Jackson MBI. The process of this study is completed by the right implementation of optimising the time management and the self management in the work of the social worker. This is one of the options that acts preventively against burnout syndrome, which should be, of course, accentuated by the management of organisations providing or ensuring social services.
