The education of student youth while studying English at universities

The article deals with the relevance of education of students in English classes at the universities. It was proved that the problem of education of students at the Ukrainian universities remain relevant and requires scientific research in the context of paradigm shift in education.
The following problems of determination of the content of education of students are distinguished in higher education institutions: accordance of tasks of education of students to reformation of the Ukrainian society, vagueness of limits of plenary powers and the role of teacher and students in education work, lack of requirements for students as individuals and future professionals in the focus of modern development of Ukraine.
The aim of the article is in the theoretical justification of the problems of determination of the content of education of students, and the main task is the choice of general scientific approaches to determining the content of education of students in English classes at the universities.
The article summarizes the regulatory framework of educational process in higher education institutions in Ukraine as follows: moral (moral values, humanism, moral education); national-patriotic (nation and national idea, national-patriotic education, formation of national self-awareness); civic (civic society and state); family (family education, value principles of Ukrainian family) and value-ecological (unity of man and nature, physical education, health and healthy life style). It was found that the content of education of students is determined by the needs of the socio-economic development, and the process of education must be consistent and continuous. It was justified that education of students in English classes is very important for transferring historical, cultural and spiritual experience of English-speaking countries.
It was generalized scientific approaches to the content of education of students in Ukraine as follows: individually oriented approach, socio oriented approach and value oriented approach; system approach; value – competence and gender approach.
Further studies include technology studies, forms, methods of education depending on the type of higher education institution.
